What is Reiki?

“Reiki” (ray – key) is a spiritual healing practice that brings balance and an enhanced sense of well-being through gentle touch for the purpose of healing. Rasha practice Usui Shiki Ryoho, the Usui System of Reiki Healing, in the lineage of Mikao Usui, Chujiro Hayashi and Hawayo Takata.
Reiki is easy to learn and self-treatment is the foundation of the practice. Reiki is most often used as a home or folk art to soothe the physical and mental distresses of everyday family life. Reiki is also practiced in professional settings and in conjunction with conventional medical care.
Reiki First Degree
First degree Reiki is the beginning of an exciting and profound journey filled with self discovery, personal change, love, growth, new experiences and an immeasurable sense of bonding with a higher power. It takes most people from a position of scepticism and propels them into a new understanding of life.
Reiki opens up doors to new dimensions, to things we never dreamt possible, and gives us access to the purest unconditional love available. Reiki is pure energy; it is omnipresent, omnipotent and omniscient. Reiki is available to all who wish to tap into it, accept it, and become one with its energy and wisdom.
Words cannot adequately describe Reiki, it needs to be experienced. Every person experiences Reiki in different ways, which is why it is impossible to define Reiki clearly in words. Whether you experience Reiki as a treatment from a Reiki practitioner or by attending a workshop, it will change your life for the better if you are open to the energy and allow it to envelop your mind, body and spirit.

Reiki Second Degree
The second degree explores the Reiki symbols and teaches you how to use them. These symbols will help you to magnify and focus the Reiki energy.
The use of these symbols can help to accelerate a session, perform a session from a distance or on imbalances from the past or future as well as focus on mental and emotional clearing. As you use the symbols you will find more applications for them in your sessions and life.
With the Reiki Second Degree attunement your body’s frequency and psychic perception will be heightened.

Reiki Masters
It is just guidelines to help you begin your journey with Reiki in the hopes that you will continue to learn and practice.
In this course, you will learn about the master symbol and how to use it. You will also learn how to attune others so that you can teach Reiki to others and share this amazing gift. I will cover:

SEICHIM
Where Reiki leaves off, Seichim takes over
Seichim (saysheem) is derived from the Egyptian word Sekhem that translated into English means, “The Power of Powers”. Seichim is another dimension of the Reiki system. Whilst Usui Reiki is considered the Masculine, Seichim is the embodiment of the Feminine. Discovered in the early 1980s by an American Reiki Master Teacher, Patrick Zeigler, Seichim is often accompanied by the Goddess Sekhmet and Kuan Yin (Quan Yin). Reiki and Seichim work together as a unified duality of sacred healing energies used to balance and harmonise a person’s physical, emotional, mental and spiritual bodies.
Seichim Reiki Level One
Seichim Level One aids one to connect with your intuition and inner guidance on a far deeper level. A soft yet powerful energy that amplifies the connection to one’s highest self and the Heart Chakra. The symbols received within this modality have many applications but ultimately enhance the healing experience. As Seichim has an immense energy therefore it is taught to Reiki Masters/Teachers

KARUNA REIKI®
What is Karuna Reiki®?
Karuna Reiki® means to diminish the suffering of others or “compassionate action.” Because of the oneness of all beings, Karuna is the motivating quality of all enlightened beings that are working to end suffering on Earth. By developing Karuna in yourself, you are not only helping others, but you also become more receptive to the Karuna that is being sent by all enlightened beings, therefore your healing is quickened. Buddhist literature states that Karuna must be accompanied by parjna or wisdom in order to have the right effect. For this reason, Karuna is only taught to Usui Reiki Master/Teachers.
KARUNA REIKI® LEVEL 1
The Karuna system of Reiki was developed by William L. Rand. It’s based on chanting and toning in order to deepen the healing process. As a physical carrier wave for the Karuna Reiki, the vibration of the voice is an energy for it to travel on causing healing energies to penetrate more deeply into the cells and tissues. Karuna is the motivating quality of all enlightened beings who are working to end suffering on Earth. When one develops Karuna, not only are they helping and healing themselves, they are sharing in the healing and helping of others on this Earth as well. As we help others and aid them in their healing process, all beings benefit.

KARUNA REIKI® LEVEL 2
In addition to the symbols taught in Level I, you will learn four new symbols (for a total of eight from both levels) and one more attunement. Every level will deepen your healing power and you will be able to access levels in the bodies and subtle bodies to release stored emotions.
